Altoids Tin Book Covers

NOTE: Items cut from the thick, light-grey chipboard burn easily so the laser-cutting process may leave charcoal residue behind. Save yourself a headache, and just wipe the cut edges of these items down with a dry paper towel before assembling or painting.

Description

A little set of heavy chipboard covers and spine that will make quick work of turning an Altoid's Tin (or 2) into a book!

These covers can be used with 1 tin or 2 tins (if you use the bottoms of 2 tins for a fat book, just omit the spine).

See below for artwork by Laura Carson using 1 tin in a Halloween project and 2 tins for a thicker book (side view showing a Fancy Latch Set as closure). Here are links to more info about both of those projects: Potions and Charms and Hinged Tin Book (and both links with tutorials)!

I also included photos of me holding sets of 2 tins with the following hardware options:
- Mini Fancy Latch Set
- Fancy Latch Set
- Bronze Suitcase Latch

Queen of Hearts Deck of Cards Case by Caroline Ouzts-Hay. See the Supply List.
