The Gryphon Collage Sheet

The gryphon (or griffin) is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and often wings of an eagle. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle the king of the birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. Includes instructions and a little sketch of how the doll should look when finished. I've also added a few images from other books. This is one in a series of paper dolls from Alice in Wonderland printed in women's magazines during WWI.
